Description

The Turkish monument, erected on the 'Nek' shortly after the evacuation in honour of those who fell in the severe fighting around this area. Note the thigh bone in the foreground and scattered skeletel remains to the left. Photograph taken on the Gallipoli Peninsula under the direction of Captain C E W Bean of The Australian Historical Mission, during the months of February and March, 1919.
