Three unidentified American airmen standing beside an old type of seaplane captured from the Bolsheviks at Bakaritza Quay, Archangel. The aircraft, probably a Grigorovich M5, is being refitted by an American mechanic and the RAF. The large sheds on the right contain rations for various expeditions with the North Russian Expeditionary Force.
