RAAF blue forage cap : Warrant Officer H T G Hunt, 9 Squadron, attached HMAS Sydney
RAAF blue forage cap with two bakelite RAAF buttons at the front. An oxidised copper RAAF other ranks badge is attached to the front left hand side by two lugs. The flaps are attached to the sides of the cap by hook fastenings.. A makers label is sewn inside the cap with the markings 'N206 /1942 /SIZE 6 ? /MADE IN AUSTRALIA'.
Associated with A31139 Warrant Officer Henry Thomas George Hunt. Hunt was born in Orange, NSW in June 1909 and enlisted in the Royal Australian Airforce on 29 June 1938. He served with numerous squadrons including a period with 9 Squadron when he was attached to HMAS Sydney. Hunt continued his career with the RAAF after the Second World War and was discharged on 10 November 1954 from 3 RAAF School of Technical Training, Wagga Wagga, NSW.
