Description
Studio portrait probably of 4436 Private (Pte) Leslie Allen, 14th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Taranna, Tas. Pte Allen enlisted on 17 November 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Warilda on 8 February 1916. On 3-4 September 1916 he was killed in action at Mouquet Farm in France while serving with the 52nd Battalion.
