Description
A group of unidentified Australians with a War Department 2-8-0 standard gauge steam locomotive with the serial number 1977 at Roselare, Belgium. This type of locomotive was manufactured in England and they were supplied to the War Department in large numbers. The letters ROD on the tender stand for Railway Operating Division. Two locomotives of this type survive in Australia today.
