Description
Studio portrait of 2428 Private (Pte) George Collolo Riley, 4th Reinforcements, 2nd Pioneer Battalion, of Edenhope via Hamilton, Vic and an unidentified soldier. Pte Riley enlisted on 24 September 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Wandilla on 6 June 1916. On 19 September 1917 he was killed in action at Zillebeke in Belgium.
