Description
Fifteen letters written by Private Charles Edward Williams of the Victorian Mounted Rifles, covering the years 1899 -1900 and service in the Boer War. Includes an account of William's death in action written by his colleage J McFarlane; and a note written on 4 March 1900 by Chaplain F W Wary, testifying to the burial of Williams in Colesburgh, South Africa.
