Description
A Memorial Card incorporating a studio portrait of 3286 Private (Pte) Mersey (Merse) Albert Reid, 7th Reinforcements, 17th Battalion, of Newtown, NSW. A railway fireman, Pte Reid enlisted on 3 August 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic as an acting sergeant on 20 December 1915. He was killed in action 28 July 1916 at Pozieres, France, aged 25 years.
