Description
Studio portrait of 2884 (later 2884A) Private (Pte) Henry Frank Shine, 9th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of Carlton, Vic. Pte Shine enlisted on 2 July 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Star of Victoria in Melbourne on 10 September 1915. He was serving with the 60th Battalion when he was killed in action during the Battle of Fromelles on 19 July 1916.
