Description
Studio portrait of 2808 Private (Pte) David Buckland, 9th Reinforcements, 8th Battalion, of Prairie, Vic. Pte Buckland enlisted on 7 July 1915 and embarked aboard SS Makarini in Melbourne on 15 September 1915. He returned to Australia as a member of the 15th Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery on 6 September 1919.
