Tribute to You Mosquito
Description
British Second World War poster promoting the fighting abilities of the De Havilland Mosquito. This was one of a series of similar 'Bulletin' posters that highlighted the important of Allied aircraft.
The poster depicts a Mosquito in flight in the upper section. The lower section features text about a successful attack of several Mosquitos on Blohm and Voss flying boats (likely BV138s). The text also talks about how flak from a destroyed flying boat damaged, and then rendered inoperable, one of the Rolls Royce Merlin engines of a Mosquito, which then still flew the 280 miles home on just one engine.
