Souvenir pennant of 2/30 Battalion, AIF : G R Quinn
Description
Triangular purple pennant with two ties along the widest edge. A rising sun badge and the words '2/30 Bn A.I.F.' are screen printed onto the pennant in gold.
History / Summary
Associated with NX3971 G C Quinn who served with the 2/30 Battalion. Quinn was captured by the Japanese after the fall of Singapore and became a prisoner of war, first in Thailand and then in Japan. During his internment it was necessary to amputate one of his legs. He was possibly also known as Reginald George Quinton.
