Portrait of three unidentified German Panzer troops (standing, right) wearing their distinctive black uniforms aboard a ship in the Mediterranean Sea. The first soldier has been awarded the Tank Battle badge (lower right side of jacket), indicating his previous combat experience. The two soldiers sitting on the bollards (left) are possibly Italians. The group are departing Italy bound for North Africa. This private German photograph is from an album found by NX50685 Private (later Sergeant) Norman Ashley Coleman, 9th Division Supply Company.
