Wallet 1 of 1 - This wallet contains two letters from James 'Jim' Perry to Miss Gwen Haylor, from Tokyo Bay, August and September 1945. HMAS Shropshire went to Tokyo Bay to help represent Australia at the signing of the surrender. The letters offer descriptions of Manila and Toyko, the signing of the surrender treaty, and the mood aboard ship during the weeks following the cessation of hostilities.
