Description
Studio portrait of 1974 Private (Pte) Ernest James Turnbull, 3rd Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Deniliquin, NSW. Pte Turnbull enlisted on 11 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Anchises on 26 August 1915. He died of wounds he received at Pozieres, France, on 9 October 1917.
