Description
Studio portrait of 2844 Private (Pte) Harry Ernest Rogers, 9th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of Werribee, Vic. Pte Rogers enlisted on 1 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Star of Victoria on 10 September 1915. He was killed in action on 19 July 1916 in France. Also killed in action were his brother 22442 Bombardier Anthony Rogers on 22 October 1917 in Belgium and his step brother Leslie Joseph Rogers.
