Trade badge for an anti-aircraft Range Finder crew member : Luftwaffe
Description
Luftwaffe grey felt embroidered trade badge for a Range Finder crew member. The embroidery, in silver grey cotton, is of a winged cluster of oak leafs and acorns above a swastika set on its point. In the space between the spread wings is the gothic letter 'E' (for 'Entfernungsmesser der Flakartillerie' or anti-aircraft artillery range finder).
History / Summary
The absence of an edge of gold cording to this badge indicates that the wearer had less than one year's service in the trade of rangefinding.
