Description
Studio portrait of 1951 Private (Pte) Philip Arthur Jackson, 3rd Reinforcements, 21st Battalion, of Winchelsea, Vic. Pte Jackson enlisted on 16 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Anchises on 26 August 1915. He was killed in action on 13 November 1916 in France. His brother 3152 Pte (later Corporal) Frederick James Jackson, 6th Battalion, was awarded the Military Medal (MM) on 21 October 1918.
