Description
Studio portrait of 2777 Private (Pte) David Anderson, 9th Reinforcements, 5th Battalion, of Birregurra, Vic. Pte Anderson enlisted on 29 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Star of Victoria on 10 September 1915. He died on 30 September 1918 from wounds he received near Cabaret Wood on the Hindenburg Line, France, while serving with the 14th Field Artillery Brigade.
