Description

A 37 millimetre Sockel Flak anti aircraft projectile developed toward the end of the First World War for German Army anti aircraft troops. The projectile can be fired in the 3.7 cm Sockel Flak, the 3.7 cm Maxim machine cannon and the 3.7 cm Hotchkiss revolver cannon. The projectile is of a spitzer design with a flat base and is made from steel. There are two driving bands made from brass toward the rear of the projectile. The cavity of the projectile normally is filled with explosive and a base detonating fuze. The projectile has some black paint on the outside of its surface.
