Group portrait of members of the Allied Mission to the Don Republic, Russia with the officers and crew aboard the destroyer HMAS Swan. The Mission sought to investigate the situation of the Cossacks, who were defending their country in the eastern corner of the Ukraine against the Bolsheviks. HMAS Swan and the French destroyer Bisson conveyed the members of the Mission.
