Description
Studio portrait of 4754 Private (Pte) Alfred Briggs dressed in training uniform, 15th Reinforcements, 14th Battalion, of Locksley, Vic. Pte Briggs enlisted, aged eighteen years, on 4 August 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Anchises in Melbourne on 14 March 1916. He was wounded while serving with the 46th Battalion and died of wounds in the 3rd Canadian Stationary Hospital, France on 1 April 1918.
