Description
Studio portrait of 2252 Private (Pte) Wilfred Cyril Missen, 4th Reinforcements, 24th Battalion, of Beeac, Vic. Pte Missen enlisted on 6 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Hororata on 27 September 1915. He was killed in action on 28 July 1916 at Pozieres, France. His cousin, 1973 Pte Oliver Richard Missen, 21st Battalion, died of disease on 21 November 1916 at Pozieres, France. See also DA10588 and DA10589.
