Description

Cushion cover painted with the rising sun badge above a scene of sand dunes. In the foreground is a line of three camels and a goat being led by two men. Above the rising sun are the British and Australian flags. The edges of the cushion are marked out with a colourful paint wash depicting two columns with a top and base. The edges of this border and the images within are marked out with raised gold poster paint. At the top are the words 'Christmas Greetings'. Below the rising sun is written 'Palestine 1940'. On one side of the badge is 'To Sara Cooney' and on the other, '2/4 BN' and the battalion's colour patch.
