Description
Studio portrait of 2476 Private (Pte) William John Wright, 5th Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Melbourne, Vic (originally of Stratford, London, England). Pte Wright enlisted on 8 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He was killed in action on 22 August 1916 at Villers-Bretonneux, France.
