Description
Studio portrait of 2875A Private (Pte) Henry Albert Lord, 9th Reinforcements, 8th Battalion, of North Wandin, Vic. Pte Lord enlisted on 30 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Makarini on 15 September 1915. He later served as a corporal and was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) on 3 June 1918. He returned to Australia on 11 December 1918 as a member of the 1st Pioneer Battalion.
