Studio portrait of 782 Private (Pte) John Donald Gordon Whitton, C Company, 30th Battalion, of Burren Junction, NSW. Pte Whitton enlisted on 19 July 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Beltana on 9 November 1915. He was killed in action on 20 July 1916 in France.
