Description
Studio portrait of 2778 Private (Pte) Leonard Armstrong, 9th Reinforcements, 5th Battalion, of Fitzroy, Vic. Pte Armstrong enlisted on 5 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Star of Victoria on 10 September 1915. He was killed in action on 19 July 1916 in France while serving with the 59th Battalion.
