Description
Studio portrait of two soldiers wearing greatcoats. One is known to be 944 Driver (Dvr) Thomas Anthony Spurr, C Company, 29th Battalion, of Tallangatta, Vic. Dvr Spurr enlisted on 14 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ascanius on 10 November 1915. He was killed in action on on 19 October 1917 in Belgium, while serving with the 13th Field Artillery Brigade.
