History / Summary
Type example of a Second World War munitions component. From the collection of munitions originally held by the Maribyrnong Explosives Factory in Victoria. The spigot and fin assembly was part of a larger hollow charge projectile. These munitions provided the Pak 36 with the means to overcome tank armour which could otherwise not be pierced by a conventional round.
