D-Ring for parachute ripcord : Royal Air Force
Description
Steel 'D' Ring parachute pull as used on Second World War chest- and seat-type parachutes. The ring has a hole drilled through the centre of its longest side, through which the ripcord would have been inserted. A small illegible stamp is impressed into the metal near the hole.
