Periscope type M19 for M113A1 APC vehicle
Description
Rectangular periscopic viewing unit with rubber headrest. Lower section (interior to vehicle crew compartment) painted gloss cream colour; upper section with connects to exterior prism unit is patined dark olive green. Tilt is adjustable with a lever set within a curved bracket.
History / Summary
For fitment to M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier. Writing on body indicates this example was removed from APC with Army Registration Number 134601. This vehicle was received in store in February 1971 and saw overseas deployment with INTERFET to Timor from November 1999 until end of the deployment. It served with B Squadron of 3/4 Cavalry Regiment.
