Collection relating to the service of Sister Elsie Grace Dobson
Description
Portrait of Staff Nurse Elsie Grace Dobson (left) and Staff Nurse Helen Eliza Milne (right), Australian Army Nursing Service, who were attached to one of the hospital trains running between Heliopolis, near Cairo, and Ismailia, near the Suez Canal. The two women are standing in front of one of the train carriages, which has a red crescent painted on a white background, indicating that it was captured from the Turks.
