Description
Studio portrait of 2251 Private (Pte) Gilbert Martin, 4th Reinforcements, 22nd Battalion, of St Arnaud, Vic, aged 18. Pte Martin enlisted on 20 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Hororata on 27 September 1915. He was killed in action on 4 July 1918 in France while serving with the 2nd Pioneer Battalion.
