Description
Papers of Private Mervyn Lawrence 'Laurie' Hill relating to his service in the Second World War. Hill wrote a memoir titled, 'Pitt Street Commandos - Mopping up on Bougainville with the 26th Battalion AIF". Other items in the collection include an image of a group of Japanese servicemen with an attached list of names and a letter written by the former Naval Sub Lieutenant Genma Katsumata addressed to " Dear all ex-soldiers concerned", 18 February 1986.
