AK 47 Assault rifle chest rig and belt : Afghan forces
Description
Remains of a set of chest webbing with ammunition pouches and clips. The belt is made from a thick cotton webbing and is frayed at both ends. A discoloured metal buckle and slide is present at one end.
History / Summary
This set of Russian chest webbing was recovered in June 2002 by Australian SAS Regiment forces from Tora Bora caves, the stronghold of Osama Bin Laden and the Al-Qaeda organization in Afghanistan.
