Description
Studio portrait of 2453 Private (Pte) Albert James Scott, 5th Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Windsor, Vic. Pte Scott enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He was killed in action on 1 October 1917 at Zonnebeke Ridge, Belgium. His brother, 4227 Pte Richard Scott, 24th Battalion, was awarded the Military Medal (MM).
