Wreckage of an Imperial Japanese Navy Type A Ko-Hyoteki class midget submarine, which was sunk in Sydney Harbour on the night of 31 May/1 June 1942. This image is of the bow the submarine on a transporter showing the torpedo cap guard and the torpedo tube caps. The bow and the torpedo are held by the Australian War Memorial. One of a series of photographs from the collection of SX2711 Lieutenant Colonel John Bayliss Goggs.
