Scope note | Australia’s participation in the United Nations Commission for the Unification and Rehabilitation of Korea (UNCURK) took place in 1951. UNCURK was set up to replace the UN Commission on Korea (UNCOK) in 1951, with a similar role as a diplomatic mission to monitor the withdrawal of Second World War occupation forces from Korea. Additionally, UNCURK supported relief and rehabilitation in a liaison role with allied military. |
