| Scope note | Australia’s participation in the United Nations Office in Timor-Leste (UNOTIL) took place from 2005 to 2006, known as Operation Chiron. UNOTIL was introduced to help establish State institutions such as a police force and further contribute to peace and security in Timor-Leste. Australia contributed military advisors to this operation. |
