Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1969-08. The Commander of the Australian Forces in Vietnam (COMAFV), Major General R. A. Hay of Red Hill, ACT, pins the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on Lieutenant (Lt) Mick Sparrow of Puckapunyal, Vic. Lt Sparrow, a member of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, which is part of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF), has served twenty four years in the Army.
