Description
Studio portrait of 6981 Private (Pte) William David Lynch, 7th Reinforcements, 11th Company, Army Service Corps (1st and 2nd Depot Units of Supply and 1st Railway Supply Detachment), of Hawthorn, Vic. Pte Lynch is wearing corporal's stripes and may have been appointed temporarily to this rank. He enlisted on 29 March 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Persia in Melbourne on 10 August 1915. He was a member of the 1st Divisional Train when he embarked aboard HT Lealandie on 3 July 1919 to return to Australia.
