Studio portrait of 3270 Private (Pte) Alfred William Charles Chambers, 11th Reinforcements, 8th Battalion, of Kew, Vic. Pte Chambers enlisted on 28 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Nestor on 11 October 1915. He was killed in action on 28 July 1916 at Pozieres, France.
