Studio portrait of Private (Pte) A E Murray who is either: 2363 Pte Albert Edward Murray, 2nd Australian Light Horse Regiment, of Cunnamulla, Qld; or 4196 Pte Arthur Edward Murray, 18th Battalion, of Wingello, NSW. 2363 Pte Murray enlisted on 15 November 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Star of Victoria on 31 March 1916. He returned to Australia on 13 March 1919. 4196 Pte Murray enlisted on 19 September 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Star of England on 8 March 1916. He returned to Australia on 16 July 1917.
