Description
Studio portrait of 6134 Private (Pte) Leslie John Phillip Casey, 19th Reinforcements, 14th Battalion, of Geelong, Vic. Pte Casey, aged nineteen years, enlisted on 29 October 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Miltiades in Melbourne on 1 August 1916. He was gassed at Broodseinde on 15 October 1917. On 16 August 1918 he was killed in action in the Amiens Harbonnieres area, France.
