A scene at Garter Point, on the battlefield near Zonnebeke, in the Ypres sector. Two unidentified soldiers walk toward a pillbox, captured some days earlier by the Australian troops. It commanded an excellent view over the surrounding country including Tokio Ridge (mid background, to the right of the tree). A dead german soldier lies near the water filled shell hole.
