Er Regima
Description
This honour was awarded for participation in the action at Er Regima, east of Benghazi, in Cyrenaica (now Libya). With the arrival of German forces in North Africa and their advance to Benghazi, Commonwealth forces fell back to Tobruk. The 9th Division held the Tocra–Er Regima line, where the 2/13th Infantry Battalion held the blocking position at Er Regima. The battle honour is unique to the 2/13th Infantry Battalion.
