Hari River
Description
This honour was awarded for participation in the successful advance from the Hongorai River to the Hari River, in Bougainville’s Southern Sector. The Australians continued their successful tactic of advancing along two axes, along Buin and Commando Roads, and utilized their advantage in air, artillery, and armoured support.
