Merjayun

Awarded for operations around the town of Merjayun (spelled Merdjayoun in the Australian Official History) in central Lebanon. During the period covered by the honour the town was captured, lost in the course of the most significant Vichy French counter-attack of the campaign, and then recaptured again.
