Nongora
Description
This honour was awarded for participation in the operations that led to the capture of Nongora, a village north-west of Scarlet Beach, on the Huon Peninsula, New Guinea. Following the capture of Sattelberg, the Australians moved north and Nongora was captured as part of the advance to Wareo–Gusika. The battle honour is unique to the 2/15th Infantry Battalion.
